During the summer we found out about a contest in Midvale: to design a logo for the future "Midvale Miles" signs that would mark mile loop routes around the community. I was excited to see what the Midvale teens could be and we had about 8 teens submit their own idea for the logo.
Incentive for the winner: iPod Touch!
A few weeks later we were delighted to hear the good news: The winner was Krista Cardenas! You can see the Midvale Miles signs all around Midvale, and she can smile knowing she was the one who created it.
Krista was presented with the iPod on Sat. September 29, just before a group of us walked the honorary Midvale Mile Loop (Boys & Girls Club route) together. Congratulations Krista! Way to leave your mark in the community.
