Summer Girls Sleepover! (by Bree)

We usually have a sleepover (girls and boys separately) in the winter and in the summer.  I look forward to these events because we have so much fun!  The sleepover this summer was full of activity, energy, and lots of laughter.  Thanks to Carmen (office manager) the girls were able to enjoy some delicious food and relaxing activities later in the evening:

DINNER & CHOCOLATE FOUNTAIN

Carmen prepared 2 types of pasta, garlic bread, and salad.  It was wonderful!

HILLCREST FOOTBALL SCRIMMAGE GAME

Krista was cheer-leading at a school event so as part of the Sleepover activities, we all went to support her and cheer her on.  We were loud and crazy and brought on lots of attention with our "GO KRISTA" signs in the stands.  I think she was embarrassed but secretly loved that we came to support her.  :)

CRAZY FUN IN THE GYM

I won't tell you what time everyone did (or didn't) go to sleep, but we had an eventful night and I was exhausted for days.  I'll need a few months to recover before we do this again!  :)

"This is the Place" Service Project (by Bree)

Teen Staff member, Josh, has done a great job setting up service projects at "This is the Place" in Salt Lake City.  There is always work to be done, whether it's pulling weeds, organizing, cleaning, etc.  On this particular day in July the teens pulled weeds in crazy windy weather and then got to spend some time in the petting zoo.  A fun adventure!

cHaLk ArT! (by Bree)

Who doesn't love playing with sidewalk chalk?  I challenged the teens to take an area of the sidewalk and really make an effort to create something nice.  I wanted them to do more than just a simple smiley face.  I was so impressed with the art work they created!  Which one is your favorite?

Hogle Zoo (by Bree)

We love when we get free tickets to fun places in the community!  Hogle Zoo usually hooks us up at some point during the summer so a small group of us went and we had a great time.  Our favorite attraction was the new polar bear!  So cute. :)
